Toronto students smoke, drink less than Ontario average, but less active

Students in Toronto are smoking, drinking, and using drugs at lower rates than the provincial average, but they’re also less physically active, a new report reveals. The school-based survey, conducted by Toronto Public Health, provides a comprehensive snapshot of the well-being of the city’s youth. More than 6,000 students, from Grades 7 to 12, were surveyed about their sexual, mental and physical health. They were also measured and weighed, and had their teeth checked by nurses and dental hygienists.
