Indigenous Circles of Support
Indigenous Circles of Support brings together students across all years of study, to eat, socialize, and engage with guest speakers.
Each session will have a guest speaker from within Indigenous Services or from the Indigenous community. The two-hour session is split, one hour facilitated by the Academic Transition Opportunities (ATO) Assistant and one hour for the guest speaker. Completion of the program will be recorded on students’ Western University Official Co-Curricular Record.

- Promote Indigenous knowledge
- Support identity development for Indigenous students
- Support student success
- Assist in student transition
- Provide opportunities for cultural awareness
- Create a sense of community among students
- Introduce students to Western and London’s local Indigenous communities (peoples and cultures)
- Enhance student engagement and sense of belonging
- Create networks of support
