Impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on life and learning experiences of indigenous and non-Indigenous university and college students in Ontario, Canada: a qualitative study

The Cost of COVID is a mixed methods study exploring the social and emotional impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, with a focus on families, youth, and urban Indigenous People. The present analysis was completed using a subset of qualitative data including Spryng.io micronarrative stories from students in college and university, as well as in-depth interviews from service providers providing services to students.

An Intersectional Analysis of Chinese International Students’ Experiences in Postsecondary Institutions in British Columbia

While there is currently a lack of exploratory studies on international students’ (IS) experiences of challenges in their host institutions, little research has examined their experiences from sociocultural context-based standpoints. This study fills this gap by examining the daily lived experiences of Chinese postsecondary IS in BC through the lens of intersectionality.

Toronto's Infant, Child, and Youth Mental Health Sector

Infant, child, and youth mental health agencies in the city of Toronto have formed a task force to develop a multi-year strategy to address anti-Black racism in the sector. The goal of the project is to ensure that the sector honours its promise to end anti-Black racism and provide culturally responsive programs and services which help Black infants, children, and youth thrive. The Anti-Black Racism Task Force is comprised of staff from a cross-section of agencies in Toronto.
