Environmental Scan of Promising Practices and Indicators Relevant to Campus Mental Health
Many postsecondary institutions are currently grappling with how to operationalize their emerging mental health strategies and plans and are looking for support in developing concrete goals, strategies, and indicators to support them in evidence-based planning and evaluation.
Commissioned by the Centre for Innovation in Campus Mental Health (CICMH), the purpose of the project was to conduct an environmental scan to identify provincial, national and international promising practices and indicators useful for post-secondary institutions to facilitate the development and evaluation of campus-based mental health programs and services. The scan includes academic and grey literature, and a number of key informant interviews with experts within and outside the post-secondary sector. The report proposes a framework for post-secondary institutions to gather and compile data on student mental health services.
