Exercise and Depression Toolkit

This Exercise and Depression Toolkit was developed in collaboration between the University of British Columbia, the Canadian Mental Health Association, the Centre for Active Living, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, and the Canadian Network for Mood and Anxiety Treatments. It provides evidence-based information on the usefulness of exercise for the treatment of depression and low mood, recommended guidelines, as well as a number of handouts that can be given to clients to support them in developing self-regulatory skills to increase their activity. Handouts include a mood and activity diary, smart goal setting, and a positive statements sheet.
