This report by Ontario University Athletics (OUA) presents the findings of a study conducted by the Indigeneity, Diaspora, Equity, and Anti-racism in Sport (IDEAS) Research Lab. The aims of the study were to determine racial demographics within OUA, to identify experiences and knowledge of racism, and to develop strategies for anti-racist change.
The recommended strategies for change fall into four categories: training and education around racism, the expansion of recruitment efforts, the provision of support for racialized students, and the development of accountability measures.
