This literature review identifies how the policies, barriers, and responses to sexual assault at Canadian post-secondary institutions can impact an individual’s chances of reporting sexual assault. The review findings reveal three themes of barriers to reporting:

  • a lack of sexual assault policies
  • existing barriers to support
  • and poor responses from post-secondary institutions
