The SCALE Together program, offered by the Ontario Caregiver Organization (OCO), is a free, evidence-informed program designed to support the mental health and well-being of caregivers. The program is flexible and can be adapted to meet the needs of young caregivers and student caregivers in post-secondary settings.

About the Program

SCALE Together is a caregiver-focused program that promotes awareness, learning, and capacity building through structured group sessions.

Program features:

  • Free for community and institutional partners
  • 8 weekly sessions (90 minutes each)
  • One-hour webinar followed by a 30-minute facilitated discussion
  • Participant workbooks and implementation resources provided
  • Dedicated support from the Ontario Caregiver Organization

Partner organizations provide:

  • A meeting space (virtual or in person)
  • A qualified facilitator (e.g., social work)
  • A group of approximately 10-12 caregivers

Information Session

Organizations interested in offering the program are invited to attend an information session to learn more about implementation and partnership opportunities.

Time: 1-2 pm
Language: English (questions may be asked in English or French)

During the session, participants will:

  • Learn how to implement the SCALE Together program
  • Explore practical examples of how the program supports caregiver mental health and well-being
  • Have the opportunity to ask questions and connect with the OCO team

Relevance for Post-Secondary Campuses

The Ontario Caregiver Organization has confirmed that SCALE Together is well suited for young caregivers on post-secondary campuses and can be adapted to support student caregivers. The information session is open to organizations from a variety of sectors; however, there may be opportunities to explore future sessions tailored specifically to post-secondary institutions.
