The Limerick Framework for Action is a global initiative that strengthens and coordinates efforts to create healthier, more supportive campus environments across the higher education sector.

Produced through an international collaboration led at the International Health Promoting Campuses Conference 2025 at the University of Limerick, the Framework reflects insights gathered from surveys, interviews, focus groups, and global consultation before, during, and after the conference.

Designed as a practical guide, the Framework outlines clear actions institutions can take to enhance wellbeing, build inclusive partnerships, and track progress over time. It supports campuses at every stage of their health-promotion journey by offering adaptable strategies that respond to both current and emerging challenges in higher education.

By adopting the Limerick Framework for Action, universities and colleges can strengthen community engagement, embed wellbeing into campus culture, and take meaningful steps toward creating environments where students, staff, and the wider community can thrive.
