Walk-in Counseling on Campus

With the increase in service demands on counseling services across post-secondary campuses, walk-in counseling models aim to meet the increased demand, increase the opportunity for same-day assistance, and address long waitlists. This webinar will look at the walk-in model at York University, and how the model was adapted to meet the needs of the institution and its students. The webinar will provide a brief outline on the structure of walk-in therapy, and what staff and students can expect at a session. We will reflect on the challenges, successes and lessons learned from implementation of the model, as well as highlight factors to consider when adapting the model to fit a campus.
