Speaker Bio
Emma Conner (She/Her) has been working in the non-profit field for over 15 years, with a degree in Anthropology and Womens Studies; she is incredibly passionate about violence prevention and awareness, community building, and advocacy. In her current role she serves as Community and Crisis Services Manager with the Durham Rape Crisis Center, where primarily she coordinates the 24/7 Crisis and Support Line and trains volunteers how to support survivors. Historically she has worked with children and youth and remains committed to their mental health, well-being, and safety education. In life, she is a proud Auntie, baker of banana bread, lover of corgis, and dedicated fan of Spotify playlists.
