Nick Petrella was diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety five years ago at age 30, but he really didn’t know what they were. He was not educated about them, he says. Now as a mental health advocate, he wants everyone to be. The diagnosis was a hard and bitter pill for Petrella, now 35 and a Mohawk College wellness and fitness professor in the justice and wellness faculty.
