In Canada, 2SLGBTQIA+ youth face a greater risk of poor mental health outcomes. While various supports may be available to the general population, it’s important to understand the unique experiences 2SLGBTQIA+ students face. Additionally, it is crucial to understand how intersectional identities influence mental health outcomes and campus life. The Supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ Students on Campus workshop will provide an introductory overview of 2SLGBTQIA+ students’ mental health, looking at challenges and stressors with an intersectional lens, and recommendations for campuses.
