Mood Walks
Mood Walks is a province-wide initiative that promotes physical activity in nature, or “green exercise,” as a way to improve both physical and mental health. Mood Walks in an initiative of the Canadian Mental Health Association, Ontario, and the Centre for Innovation in Campus Mental Health. Laurier adopted this initiative on its Waterloo campus in 2018. Every Monday, the Peer Wellness Educators lead students on a one-hour walk through green spaces, to boost mood as well as enjoy camaraderie, fresh air and exercise for our physical and social wellness.
