Canadian Campus Wellbeing Survey

Healthy Minds | Healthy Campuses is hosting a webinar on the Canadian Campus Wellbeing Survey (CCWS). The CCWS will help post-secondary institutions better assess student health and wellbeing on campuses, identify priorities for intervention, and increase capacity to link research with policy and practice.

The survey will take students 20-minutes to complete and covers nine core sections related to student health and wellbeing:

  • Mental health assets

  • Mental health deficits

  • Student experience

  • Health service utilization

  • Physical health

  • Academic achievement

  • Substance use

  • Nutrition

  • Sexual health behaviour

Webinar participants will:

  • Learn about the new CCWS and how it can be implemented on campuses across Canada
  • Meet like-minded people
  • Participate in facilitated conversations
  • Build connections to help local effort and broader collaboration

HM|HC Talks format:

  • Interactive meeting with the option to connect over webcam (preferred), chat or phone
  • Stimulus speakers to introduce a health literacy topic followed by group dialogue

Presenters

Guy Faulkner  is a professor at UBC’s School of Kinesiology and has worked on the development of the CCWS. He will be providing more details on the survey and available to answer questions regarding its implementation.
